Pretium Lens is a service operated by Pretium Search Ltd ("Pretium", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data in connection with the Pretium Lens website and client portal and our recruitment and advisory services.

- Pretium Lens is a service of Pretium Search Ltd, the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales, with a registered address at 45 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5JG.

Scope
This policy covers personal data we process through the Pretium Lens marketing website and the authenticated client portal, and in the course of providing executive search, advisory, and alliance-matching services. The portal is currently invitation-based.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, work email address, telephone number, organisation, and role of the people who access the Platform on behalf of a client.
- Client and organisation information: details about your organisation and the businesses, partners, or targets relevant to an engagement, such as sector, size, location, commercial and operational characteristics, and related notes.
- Engagement information: briefs, objectives, status, deliverables, and outcomes associated with the work we carry out for you.
- Assets and documents you upload: files and supporting materials you attach to an engagement, for example briefs, dossiers, partner profiles, market data, and reports, together with metadata we extract from them.
- Assessment and diagnostic data: the inputs, responses, and results from readiness assessments and other diagnostic tools you use on the Platform.
- Access requests: information you provide when you request access or join a waitlist, such as your name, organisation, and contact details.
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and access times collected when you use the Platform.
Some of the content you submit may contain personal data about individuals, such as colleagues, executives, or candidates relevant to an engagement, and occasionally sensitive information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share it with us. We process such data only where we have an appropriate lawful basis and, for special category data, an additional condition under data protection law.
How we use your information and our lawful bases
- To provide our services, including matching candidates and clients and producing assessments and deliverables (lawful bases: performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in operating our business).
- To communicate with you, including service updates and, where relevant, news or alerts (legitimate interests, or consent where required).
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations (legal obligation).
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Platform (legitimate interests).
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights. Where we process special category data, we rely on an additional condition such as your explicit consent, as permitted under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
AI processing
- Some Platform features use artificial intelligence to generate assessments, matches, diagnostics, and reports. To do this, content you submit may be processed by trusted third-party AI providers, for example OpenAI, acting as our processors.
- We do not permit your personal data to be used to train these providers' general models. If you have material that must not be processed by AI, tell us so it can be handled on a store-only basis.
International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including the duration of a candidate or client relationship and any period required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
- Subject to conditions under UK data protection law, you have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct inaccurate data, ask us to erase data, restrict or object to processing, request portability of data you provided to us, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have rights in relation to solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

- If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to address your concerns first.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Children
The Platform is intended for business users and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised "last updated" date.
